Ubuntu 9.04 Con Ext4

Ahora que el sistema de archivos Ext4 es estable la gente de ubuntu a decidido comenzar a trabajar para incluirlo en su version 9.04 “Jaunty Jackalope”, Ext4 estara disponible solo como una opcion dentro del proceso de instalacion ya que por defecto aun seguira siendo Ext3.

Esta modificacion en Ubuntu 9.04 solo se vera recien en la version Alpha3 esperada para 2 dias mas (15 de enero).

Las más interesados y arriesgados pueden agregar el soporte para Ext4 en el actual Ubuntu 8.10 (o en cualquier otra distribución) compilando por sí mismos el nuevo Kernel 2.6.28 con la opción correcta y luego convirtiendo el sistema de archivos Ext3 a Ext4, como se explica aquí.
