2.6.30 Kernel Benchmarks

El equipo de phoronix nos vuelve a informar de los resultados de pruebas de benchmarking en el campo GNU/Linux. En esta ocasión, comparan e informan de los benchmarks de diferentes versiones de kernels. Obviamente, en particular nos importa el comportamiento de la próxima versión 2.6.30, esperada para junio ‘09; de momento, han testeado la rc7 de la v. 2.6.30.  Un avance de algunas de las conclusiones del test: “Entre el kernel 2.6.28 y el 2.6.29 hubo un gran aumento de rendimiento, que ha sido mantenido en la v. 2.6.30-rc7″; añaden en phoronix que, aparte de algunos leves pasos atrás, “parece que particularmente en las operaciones de uso de los discos duros hay mejoras con el kernel 2.6.30″.
