El conocido reproductor multimedia VLC Media Player acaba de actualizar a la versión 1.0.0 con nombre en clave Goldeneye e interesantes mejoras.
VLC Media Player, es un reproductor multimedia con licencia GNU/GPL, gratis, que podemos encontrar incluso como portable y que reproduce casi todos los formatos, tanto de audio como de vídeo, con una calidad muy aceptable.
Un programa multilenguaje y multiplataforma que encontraremos disponible para Windows, Mac OS X, BeOS, Linux, etc.
Algunas mejoras en esta nueva versión:
- Nuevos códecs HD: Blu-Ray Linear PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, AES3, TrueHD, Real Video 3.0 y4.0.
- Soporte de reproducción de vídeo mejorado
- Nuevo aspecto gráfico.
- Pausa instantánea y pantalla a pantalla.
- Nuevos formatos (Raw Dirac, M2TS, …)
Los usuarios de Windows tienen en este programa una más que interesante alternativa al Windows Media Player y cuentan con la posibilidad de asignar como predeterminado este reproductor para todos sus archivos multimedia, siguiendo las indicaciones de este manual.
