Google instala un script en el sistema cron que se ejecuta diariamente. Lo que hace este script es añadir un origen de software que apunta a los servidores de Google, en caso de que no lo tengas añadido ya. De esta forma, si el usuario borrase el origen de software, este se volvería a añadir automáticamente al día siguiente.
Esto ocurre a espaldas del usuario, al que en ningún momento se le notifica de este extraño y poco convencional comportamiento.
El origen de software que añade no se borra aunque desintalemos Google Chrome. El que sí se borra es el script que lo vuelve a añadir diariamente, por lo que basta con borrar este origen por una última vez –junto con su clave pública– para eliminar todo rastro.

Lo que me he dado cuenta es que al tener instalado Chrome, Firefox se ha vuelto sumamente leeeento……………

cuando aprenda como se borra te digo XD toy buscando ahora como se hace….sorry por no responder antes paro no habia visitado el sitio…. no tengo mucho tiempo libre estos ultimos meses…..

skarica….encontre la solucion… tienes que desintalar chrome e instalar chromium…. desintalando chrome no se borra el script….al instalar chomium si!!!
aqui las instrucciones para instalar chromium:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Añadimos al final del fichero los repositorios:
#Chromium
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
Añadimos las GPG keys:
sudo apt-key adv –recv-keys –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com

Actualizamos e instalamos:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

aps….eso es si usas ubuntu 9.10…..si usas aun la 9.04 haz lo que dice en http://www.pcdigital.org/instalar-chromium-version-libre-de-google-chrome-en-ubuntu-jaunty-9-04/

ojo que chromium es la versión en desarrollo de chrome… si bien chrome esta en versión beta, la chromium vendría siendo algo un poco mas inestable, ya que es en la cual se prueban nuevos parches y cosas por el estilo.
